Tell us a little about you
Takes about two minutes. We will call or email to confirm a time.
Your first visit
What happens when you arrive
Most first visits take around 45 minutes to an hour. Nothing irreversible happens until you understand your options.
We listen and examine
Your specialist asks about your symptoms, examines the tooth and takes any imaging needed, usually a small digital X-ray and sometimes a 3D scan.
We find the cause
Simple tests on the tooth and its neighbours confirm where the pain is coming from. Not every painful tooth needs a root canal.
You get a clear plan
We explain your options, what treatment involves and the cost before anything is decided. If it suits you, treatment can often begin the same day.
Your comfort
Pain relief options, chosen with you
Local anaesthetic is used for every procedure. If you are nervous, we can add one of these.
Nitrous oxide
Happy gas breathed through a small nose piece. Takes the edge off anxiety and wears off within minutes, so you can drive home.
Oral sedation
A tablet taken before your appointment to help you feel calm and relaxed. You will need someone to drive you home.
IV sedation
Deeper relaxation given through a small drip. Arranged in advance, with an escort home.
A calmer room
Our low-sensory surgery, headphones and a slower pace for patients who prefer a quieter, cocoon-like environment.
